Estimator / Quantity Surveyor – Tavistock
Permanent, Full-time
We’re looking for an experienced Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join a busy construction team. This is a hands-on role where your expertise in cost estimating and project analysis will directly contribute to winning new projects and ensuring their successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
*Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and bids for construction projects.
*Analyse drawings, specifications, and contracts to determine project requirements.
*Quantify materials, labour, and other resources needed for projects.
*Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
*Maintain cost databases and stay updated on market trends and industry standards.
*Ensure timely submission of estimates and reports.
Your Profile:
*Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
*Experience in estimating or quantity surveying within construction.
*Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs.
*Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Causeway), Microsoft Project, and MS Office.
*Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
*Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
