Vehicle Technician - Main Dealer, Newbury Location: Newbury
Salary: Competitive basic + bonus + benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time, permanent
About the Role Our client, a respected main dealer in Newbury, is looking to recruit a qualified Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to work Monday to Friday only, offering a great work-life balance alongside strong earning potential and ongoing training.
The role will suit a skilled technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and thrives in a professional dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities * Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair work to manufacturer standards.
* Complete diagnostic investigations and identify faults accurately.
* Ensure all work is completed efficiently, within set timescales, and to a high standard.
* Conduct road tests where required.
* Maintain accurate service and repair records.
* Work collaboratively with service advisors and parts departments to ensure seamless customer service.
* Adhere to all health, safety, and compliance requirements.
Skills & Experience Required * NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) - essential.
* Previous experience working in a main dealer or independent garage environment.
* Strong technical and diagnostic ability.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
* Full UK driving licence.
