Company Accountant
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000
Location: Huddersfield
Hours: 37 hours per week
Holiday: 26 days + statutory
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Company Accountant to join our finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting management with insightful reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage day-to-day accounting operations (journals, reconciliations, general ledger)
*Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
*Ensure compliance with IFRS and provide technical accounting input
*Coordinate audits and prepare statutory accounts
*Drive improvements in financial controls and reporting processes
Skills & Experience
*ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified (or part-qualified)
*Strong IFRS knowledge
*Manufacturing industry experience is essential; contract accounting experience desirable
*Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
