SEND Cover Teacher – Creative & Flexible Role

We are looking for a dynamic and adaptable teacher to provide full-time PPA cover across a specialist educational setting in Sheffield. This is a unique opportunity to teach dance across the school while also delivering a range of curriculum subjects in class-based settings.
The role includes one full day per week working as part of a job share in a classroom alongside a four-day member of staff, with the remaining days focused on PPA cover across all pathways and age groups. The setting supports pupils with a wide range of complex needs, including autism, severe learning difficulties, and communication challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver engaging and inclusive dance sessions tailored to pupils with SEND.
*Provide high-quality cover across a variety of subjects and pathways.
*Collaborate with class teams to ensure continuity and consistency for learners.
*Support pupils with diverse needs, including those who are non-verbal or require personal care.
*Contribute to a creative and flexible curriculum that meets individual learning goals.
Essential Requirements:
*Experience working with children and young people with SEND.
*Confidence in managing a range of needs and adapting teaching approaches accordingly.
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently across multiple classes.
