Dance Teacher (GCSE) - Maternity Cover, Fareham

You’ll be teaching Dance across KS3 and KS4, with responsibility for delivering both practical lessons and GCSE Dance theory. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your subject knowledge and enthusiasm while guiding students through the GCSE curriculum and syllabus.

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 08:00am-16:00pm.

What you’ll be doing
· Delivering engaging and creative Dance lessons across KS3 and KS4
· Teaching GCSE Dance theory, ensuring students are confident with the syllabus and exam requirements
· Inspiring students to develop both technical skills and academic understanding
· Creating a safe, inclusive classroom where every student feels valued
· Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external partners to support student progress
· Celebrating achievements in both performance and theory

What we’re looking for
· A qualified teacher (QTS) with experience teaching Dance in secondary schools
· Previous experience teaching GCSE Dance, with strong knowledge of the curriculum and syllabus
· Someone who can balance creativity with academic rigour
· A reflective, resilient team player with excellent communication skills
· A strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
