About the Role
We’re working exclusively with a well-established client in the construction and plant hire sector who is looking for a Sales & Business Development Executive to join their team at their Stratford-upon-Avon depot. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded, results-driven individual who thrives in both relationship management and proactive sales environments.
The role is split across two key areas:
*3 days per week focused on handling incoming sales enquiries, preparing quotes, and managing client relationships.
*2 days per week dedicated to proactive business development, identifying new opportunities, and driving growth across the UK market.
If you enjoy a mix of account management and new business generation, this position offers the best of both worlds.
Key Responsibilities
* Incoming Sales (3 days per week):
*Respond to inbound enquiries promptly and professionally.
*Prepare tailored quotes, proposals, and hire/sale agreements.
*Maintain CRM records and ensure smooth order processing.
*Liaise with internal teams to guarantee excellent customer service and timely delivery.

* Proactive Business Development (2 days per week):
*Research and generate new leads within target sectors (construction, infrastructure, plant hire).
*Make outbound calls, send emails, and engage via LinkedIn to qualify opportunities.
*Follow up on leads, track progress, and close deals to meet monthly targets.
*Support marketing initiatives such as email campaigns and lead generation projects.
*Attend industry events and exhibitions where relevant.

* Provide holiday cover for the wider sales and operations team when required, including admin tasks, liaising with logistics, and processing documentation.

What We’re Looking For
*Proven experience in sales and business development within a B2B environment (construction industry experience is highly advantageous).
*Confident in outbound sales, cold calling, and lead follow-up.
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
*Highly organised, self-motivated, and target-driven.
*Comfortable using LinkedIn, Mailchimp, Excel, and CRM systems (Sage experience desirable).
Package & Benefits
*Basic Salary £30K-£40K + performance-based commission (negotiable and dependant on experience)
*Full-time, permanent role – Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm.
*Office-based in Stratford-upon-Avon.
