Farm Manager (Interim Contract)
*Pay Rate: £19.86 – £21.19 per hour
*Location: Leeds
*Working Hours: Monday–Thursday: 8 hours per day, Friday: 4 hours (finishing at 12:30 PM), with potential weekend cover (rate to be confirmed)
Join our team as an Interim Farm Manager, overseeing the daily operations of our diverse farm. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage a variety of tasks, from livestock care to team leadership, with a potential to transition into a permanent position.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Oversee the daily operations of the farm, ensuring all activities run smoothly.
*Manage a diverse range of livestock and mixed breeds, maintaining high standards of care and compliance.
*Uphold strict health and safety standards across the farm to ensure a safe working environment.
*Lead and motivate a team of 5 staff members to achieve operational goals and maintain high morale.
*Handle visitor interactions professionally, enhancing their experience where applicable.
*Address and support resolution of employee relations issues as they arise.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Strong foundational knowledge in farming operations.
*Proven experience in managing people, demonstrating effective leadership and team management skills.
*Hands-on experience with mixed breed livestock.
*In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations pertinent to farm operations.
Desirable Skills:
*Experience managing rare breeds.
*Background in managing visitor attractions.
*Familiarity with local authority regulations and processes.
*Experience in handling employee relations issues within a team setting.
