SEND Cover Teacher Location: Lambeth, London
Full Time | Permanent
Salary: NJC Pay Scales £29,064 - £40,777 (dependent on experience)
The Role We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEND Cover Teacher to join a specialist education setting in Lambeth, supporting autistic children and young people with a range of learning needs. This role plays a vital part in ensuring continuity of learning by delivering and supervising planned lessons in the absence of the usual class teacher.
Key Responsibilities * Deliver and supervise planned lessons in line with school policies
* Maintain responsibility for classroom management, pupil wellbeing and safeguarding
* Support a broad, balanced and personalised curriculum
* Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress
Person Specification Essential:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Knowledge of the National Curriculum (KS1-KS4)
* Experience teaching or supporting pupils with SEND
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion
Desirable:
* Experience working in a special school or specialist setting
* Recent SEND-related training
