The Role
The school is seeking an experienced, confident Year 6 Teacher who can assume full responsibility for the class until the end of the academic year. This includes planning, delivering high-quality lessons, and preparing pupils effectively for SATs.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the Year 6 curriculum.
*Prepare pupils for SATs, ensuring progress for learners of all abilities.
*Use assessment to inform planning and track attainment.
*Create a supportive, positive classroom environment with high expectations.
*Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and senior leaders.
*Maintain effective communication with parents and carers.
*Contribute to the school’s wider community and uphold its core values.
Requirements
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
*Substantial experience teaching in Key Stage 2, specifically Year 6.
*Proven experience preparing pupils for SATs.
*Strong classroom management and adaptable teaching strategies.
*A passion for helping children achieve their best.
*Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
Please note: Due to the demands of the role, ECTs cannot be supported for this position.
