Receptionist / Cashier
*Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (2 - 3 months)
*Pay Rate: £12.65 per hr paye
*Location: Bury Council, BL9 0SW
*Working Hours: 9am till 5pm (Office Based)
Bury Council are looking for a dedicated Receptionist/Cashier to join our team on a temporary basis for the next 2 - 3 months. This role is crucial in providing a high-quality reception, admissions, and information service to all visitors. The ideal candidate will have strong customer care skills, experience in cash handling, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide a welcoming and efficient reception service to all visitors.
*Handle admissions and provide accurate information regarding services and facilities.
*Responsible for the receipt of all fees and charges for admission.
*Manage cash reconciliation and ensure accurate financial records.
*Utilise computerised databases to maintain visitor records and other relevant data.
*Operate office equipment and handle retail and hired materials, ensuring their correct usage and maintaining necessary records.
*Ensure a healthy and safe environment for both staff and the public in compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Excellent customer care skills.
*Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including numeric proficiency.
*Proven experience in cash handling and cash reconciliation.
*Experience assisting the public both over the telephone and in person.
*Proficiency in the use of computerised databases.
*This role requires a Basic DBS Check
