Join our client’s dynamic banking team as an ESG Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in advancing sustainability and ESG initiatives.
As an ESG Manager, You Will:
* Shape the bank’s sustainability commitments by developing and overseeing the ESG strategy.
* Engage stakeholders and manage Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts.
* Guide the overall ESG strategy to align with the bank’s goals and values.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create and implement a comprehensive ESG strategy that aligns with the bank’s goals and values.
* Define clear objectives, identify key milestones, and prioritize initiatives to support business growth and manage risks.
* Regularly report to leadership and the Board, tracking progress and ensuring alignment with objectives.
* Work with colleagues across various departments, lead a dedicated working group, and provide ESG-related advice.
* Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices.
* Engage with stakeholders, participate in industry forums, and represent the bank publicly.
* Oversee the creation of the annual ESG report to ensure transparency and accountability.
* Collaborate with HR and Marketing to embed ESG and DEI principles into the organisation’s culture and communications.
* Climate Change Working Group
* Lead efforts to address critical climate change issues.
Experience Required:
* Strong background in ESG roles within financial institutions, with a solid understanding of UK ESG regulations and trends.
* Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and a pragmatic approach to ESG implementation.
* Exceptional communication and influencing skills, integrity, and problem-solving abilities to drive meaningful change and innovation.
