Accounts Assistant * Annual Salary: £25k - £28k

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our clients finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting practices and a keen interest in furthering their qualifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including ledger management, bank reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
Day-to-day of the role: * Entry of sales and purchase ledger documents.
* Conducting daily bank reconciliations.
* Executing weekly supplier payment runs.
* Handling customer and supplier queries efficiently.
* Managing accounts payable mailboxes.
* Providing support and management to the remote team.
* Assisting in the preparation of documents and reports for monthly management accounts.
* Performing basic bookkeeping duties.
Required Skills & Qualifications: * AAT Qualification or actively working towards it.
* Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, if statements, table formatting, etc.) and Microsoft Office suite.
* Ideally, some knowledge of Access databases.
* Sufficient IT knowledge to perform job functions effectively.
* Strong initiative with a willingness to learn and grow within the business.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt and problem-solve.
* A team player mentality, eager to learn and support others within the team and business.
