Cover Supervisor | Temporary - Potential to go permanent | Hailsham

Reed Education is supporting a secondary school, based in Hailsham in the search for enthusiastic and flexible Cover Supervisors. 
Cover Supervisor Responsibilities 
* The successful candidate will provide short-term cover for teachers, taking responsibility for the supervision of the class, enabling pre-set work to be completed.
* When not covering classes, the successful candidates will provide support in other areas of the school which may include supporting teachers and working with smaller groups of students.
* To ensure students are focused and on track on the work that has been set
* To liaise with Teaching Assistants during cover lessons
Personal Specification
* Experience working with young people, preferably in a school environment
* GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
* Ability to demonstrate active listening skills
* Ability to monitor the students’ response to the learning activities and where appropriate, modify or adapt the activities as agreed with the teacher to achieve the intended learning outcomes
