Finance Manager, North Cambridge

Due to company growth, we are seeking a Finance Manager to join a business based north of Cambridge. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team within a company that is experiencing continued expansion. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Finance and play a key role in both day-to-day financial management and strategy.
Responsibilities will include:
* Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring and reporting systems are in place.
* Develop external relationships with key contacts such as auditors, solicitors, bankers, and statutory organisations like HMRC.
* Produce accurate financial reports to specific deadlines and manage budgets.
* Supervise the accounts team and ensure their continuous professional development.
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including posting appropriate journals.
* Prepare sales statistics and manage statutory deductions payments to organisations like HMRC.
* Prepare quarterly VAT returns and submit them to HMRC
* Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and legislation.
* Collate and analyse performance data against defined parameters.
* Prepare payment runs to external suppliers and update banking transactions daily.
* Provide and interpret financial information to support decision-making.
* Research and report on factors influencing business performance, including competitor and market analysis.
* Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
We are looking for:
* Qualified Accountant or qualified by experience.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Proficiency in financial reporting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to supervise and lead a team.
* Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.
* Proficiency in financial software and Excel.
