We are currently working with an established Freight Forwarder who are seeking an experienced Customs Entry Clerk to join their team based in Dagenham.

General duties:
* Preparation and completion of customs entries for import and export
* Dealing with entry queries - commodity codes, duty rates, licences and documentation requirements etc
* Calculation of Duty and VAT rates per consignment
* Processing duty reclaims
* Maintaining compliance with current and evolving legislation, laws and customs procedures

Requirements:
* Experience within a freight forwarding environment
* Over 2 years experience with Customs Entries, Trailer Imports
* Experience with Export and Airfreight is an advantage
* Experience creating declarations with clearance software essential (Datafreight/Destin8/Chief)
* Comprehensive knowledge of customs procedures and principles
* Experience with Data freight advantageous
* Sequoia or equivalent software experience
