Job Description:
Job Title: Underwriting Excellence & Governance Consultant
Duration: 6-12 months
Rate/Salary: Up to £33,000 FTC annual salary
Location: 1 day in the Romford office per week/4 days home working (office anchor day Wednesday)
The Role:
* Carry out MGA audits/quality assurance reviews supporting UW strategy and Governance managers.
* Analyse operational MI and provide recommendations to the UW strategy and Governance managers, and MGA’s on improvements.
* Support the work on setting of risk appetite and UW rules for Commercial Motor products working with portfolio UW.
* Develop a framework to assess insurance risk (UW, reserve and cat risk) across portfolios.
* Support creation of UW, pricing and claims policies and procedures.
Experience required:
* Must have previous underwriting experience and claims/pricing operational knowledge
* Good communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to work under own initiative and under pressure to meet deadlines
* Ability to organise and prioritise workload
* CII qualification an advantage or undergraduate degree
