ASD Lecturer
Start Date: ASAP PERMANENT
Salary Range: £34,561 - £45,018 per annum inclusive of London Weighting Allowance
Are you passionate about supporting students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD)? We are seeking an experienced ASD lecturer to join our team at Reed FE, working closely with a specialist SEN College. As an ASD lecturer, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering a curriculum based on the four Preparing for Adulthood pathways:
* Good Health: Empowering students to maintain physical and mental well-being.
* Independent Living: Equipping learners with essential life skills for self-sufficiency.
* Employment: Preparing students for successful work experiences.
* Friends, Relationships, and Community: Fostering social connections and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging teaching and learning experiences both within the college and community settings.
* Support learners aged 16-25 who are working at pre-entry level.
* Utilize knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and address behaviours of concern.
* Develop schemes of work, session plans, and monitor progress against targets.
* Write annual review reports and actively participate in team meetings.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Essential: Experience working with ASD learners and knowledge of PBS.
* Desirable: Teaching qualifications and expertise in behaviour management.
