Job Description:
Reed Brighton is excited to be working with a heating and plumbing specialist who is seeking a Trade Counter Assistant to join their showroom in East Sussex. Providing exceptional customer service and maximising sales opportunities, this role is integral to increasing branch profitability and building strong customer relationships.
The ideal candidate will also assist in the efficient running of the warehouse and perform various administrative tasks. This is a permanent role with working hours of Mon-Fri 7.30am-5.00pm, with alternate Saturdays 8.00-12 noon.
Day to day of the role: * Deliver a high level of customer service at all times, both in-person at the trade counter and via telephone or email.
* Produce, chase, and follow-up on quotations, providing feedback on lost quotes to the Branch Manager.
* Promote and upsell profitable and relevant products to customers.
* Maintain a clean, tidy, presentable, and well-stocked trade counter, showroom, and warehouse area.
* Provide administrative support to the branch management team as needed.
* Assist with stocktakes and the goods inwards process, including booking in and organising stock.
Required Skills & Qualifications: * Excellent general product knowledge relevant to the heating and plumbing industry specifically.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills, capable of building rapport with customers and colleagues.
* A proactive approach to sales and customer service.
