SEMH/SEN English Teacher * Location: Chobham
* Job Type: Full-time
* Pay: Pay to scale - £31350 to £47839
We are looking for an experienced SEMH/SEN English Teacher who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. Day to day of the role: * Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to students with SEMH/SEN needs.
* Create a supportive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued and motivated to learn.
* Implement strategies to manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote positive interactions.
* Assess students’ work, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
* Collaborate with other staff members to plan and coordinate lessons.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and support student well-being.
Required Skills & Qualifications: * Proven experience in teaching English to SEMH/SEN students.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
* A compassionate and patient approach to teaching and learning.
* Relevant teaching qualification and eligibility to work in the UK.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
