Job Description:
Join our Clients dynamic and innovative engineering team as a temporary HSE Officer, potential to go permanent! We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all employees within our manufacturing environment. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact and contribute to a positive and safe working culture.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough reviews of risk assessments and identify areas for improvement
* Perform dynamic risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures
* Monitor and enforce compliance with COSHH regulations
* Assist in the development and delivery of HSE training programmes
* Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety standards
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and provide recommendations for prevention
* Collaborate with our dedicated team to continuously improve our HSE practises
* Stay up to date with relevant legislation and industry best practises
Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience in a similar HSE role within an engineering or manufacturing environment
* Strong knowledge of risk assessment principles and techniques
* Familiarity with COSHH regulations and their application within a workplace
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels
* Proven ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks effectively
* NEBOSH certificate or equivalent qualification is highly desirable
* Passion for promoting a positive safety culture and driving continuous improvement
Duration and Working Pattern:
* This is a temporary position, starting from immediately, until March 2025, though it has the potential to go permanent.
* The role is full-time, with a working pattern to be determined.
