Sharp Skips are looking for a dedicated Planner / Driver (Category C) to join their team. This role is a dynamic mix of planning, scheduling, and delegating work to drivers, combined with driving duties to experience the work firsthand.
As a Planner / Driver, you will be responsible for:
* Scheduling and planning routes and tasks for drivers efficiently.
* Ensuring all drivers are briefed and understand their assignments.
* Communicating effectively with both drivers and customers to ensure smooth operations.
* Driving assigned routes to gain firsthand experience and insights into the work.
Job details:
Position: Planner / Driver (Category C)
Pay: £17.00 per hour (standard) / £25.50 per hour (overtime)
Additional Pay: £20.00 daily attendance bonus
Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Saturdays on an ad-hoc basis)
Job Requirements:
* Valid LGV Class 2 Category C Driving License.
* Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
* Efficient Scheduling: Ability to schedule and plan work efficiently for drivers (knowledge of local areas is preferable).
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills.
