Job Description
We’ve got a great new role for a Scrum Master to join us in either London, Hove or Cardiff!
As a key member of L&G Retail’s Agile Practice you will be working with cross-functional teams and specialist areas within L&G’s Retail business, embedding agile thinking and supporting them in applying agile values, principles and practices to help achieve business goals and deliver successful outcomes. You’ll support all aspects of the delivery process, combining technical excellence and your understanding and practical experience of how Agile ways of working (Scrum, Kanban etc) can be applied in a variety of scenarios. What you’ll be doing: * Leading, coaching and developing Agile teams utilising Scrum and other appropriate frameworks to achieve the successful delivery of key business products and outcomes
* Facilitating Agile events and ceremonies; ensuring release and sprint planning, daily stand-up, show & tell, refinement and retrospectives are effective and drive a continuous improvement culture
* Identifying, managing, and removing team-level impediments, preventing distractions that interfere with sprint goals. Developn clear and concise escalation points.
* Providing transparency and visibility by tracking and reporting team-level delivery metrics. Radiating information back to the business
* Striving for continuous improvement across Agile processes and practices, supporting teams in understanding how to measure success and what metrics they need to measure
* Facilitating discussion and enable swift conflict resolution, empowering the team to self-organise and manage
* Taking responsibility for coaching and mentoring team members on Agile values, principles and practices
* Effectively collaborating and communicating with your team as well as key development and business stakeholders
Qualifications
Who we’re looking for: * Practical, demonstrable experience of supporting Agile teams to deliver business outcomes
* An understanding of applying Agile values and principles
* Experience in coaching and mentoring team members
* It would be great if you also have experience in applying Scrum to non-technical teams or blended teams
* An understanding of digital/web development and/or product delivery
