We have been instructed by one of our manufacturing clients in Harlow to support in their recruitment of a Design Engineer.
They are looking to appoint a candidate who is confident using CAD software (Solidworks preferred) and has experience of a wide range of manufacturing processes eg sheet metal fabrication, vacuum forming.
You will be joining a highly experienced team and will be working to briefs on quick-turnaround projects.
Responsibilities:
- Taking on assigned briefs to produce manufacturing drawings, working to time constraints and budgets.
- Evaluating and / or redesigning prototypes
- Effective cross functional communication with different departments in the factory
- 2D drawing, BOM’s, technical specification documents
Skills & Experience Required:
- Practical experience in a similar role
- Engineering degree (design discipline preferred) 
- 3D CAD 
- Experience of a broad range of manufacturing processes eg sheet metal fabrication / vacuum forming
