SEN Teaching Assistant *Location: Brent, NW London
*Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our SEN provision within the Brent borough. This role involves working Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, supporting students with special educational needs across the spectrum. This position is ideal for individuals who have experience working with secondary or 6th form/college-aged students and are committed to enhancing educational experiences for all students. To start as soon as possible.
Day-to-day of the role: *Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
*Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
*Work closely with teachers and other educational staff to facilitate inclusive education.
*Monitor and support the progress of students, adapting approaches as needed to suit individual needs.
*Facilitate social and academic integration, helping students to build confidence and independence.
*Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and any issues that arise.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Must hold Maths and English GCSEs.
*Proven experience working with secondary or 6th form/college-aged students.
*Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
*Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to student development.
