Locum Commercial Solicitor
Local Authority - Midlands
£50 - £55 per hour per umbrella
Remote Working - Occasional Office Attendance
Panoramic Associates are excited to be working with a large legal team within a Local Authority based in the Midlands, who are looking for an experienced Commercial Solicitor to join them on a full-time basis, for an initial 3+ months contract with a strong likelihood of a long-term opportunity.
This role is offered on mostly remote basis with just office attendance only required for team meetings!
The role will involve advising on complex commercial and procurement matters & supporting the head of the contracts and procurement team. As a large local authority, they have an interesting range of contracts matters available!
Essential criteria:
*A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister, alternatively, non-qualified Lawyers with substantial relevant experience will also be considered.
*Good practical knowledge of Commercial Contracts and Procurement practices in Local Government including dealing with the drafting and negotiations of commercial contracts to include IT contracts, Construction Contracts and advising on Charity/Company law matters.
*A solid understanding of Public Sector Procurement Law
