Job Description:
School Administrator *Job Type: Temporary, Full-time (Term Time Only)
*Location: Secondary School in Bristol
*Working Hours: Approx. 9am - 3pm (Flexible working patterns may be considered)
*Salary: Competitive
Reed is currently seeking a dedicated School Administrator to join a vibrant secondary school team in Bristol on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will be available full-time during term time and adept at handling a variety of administrative tasks that support the daily operations of the school and its senior leadership.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
*Draft suspension letters using the school’s template, adhering strictly to suspension processes and deadlines.
*Utilise Microsoft Office suite and databases proficiently, with a preference for candidates experienced in Bromcom & SIMs.
*Manage daily communications with parents, including sending restorative texts.
*Monitor and distribute information emails to key staff members efficiently.
*Ensure staff presence during break times and coordinate break duty coverage.
*Manage diary scheduling for the Senior Leadership Team effectively.
*Perform general administrative duties such as filing, record-keeping, and if trained, provide First Aid response and support for student welfare.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.
*Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
*Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with database systems, ideally Bromcom & SIMs.
*Excellent communication skills for drafting letters and daily correspondence with parents.
*Organisational skills for managing emails and coordinating schedules.
*First Aid training is desirable but not essential.
