Hays are working for an organisation based in Willenhall who are looking to welcome an Assistant Accountant to their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
Assist the Finance manager in the preparation of the management accounts packs including analysis of data
*Ensure all prepayment/accrual schedules are kept up to date at the end of the month
*Balance sheet reconciliations including Bank, Fixed Assets, prepayments and accruals.
*Reconciliation of cashbooks.
*Posting & matching cash received- ensuring that any deductions are highlighted to the credit control team.
*Raising sales invoices.
*Raising Bacs Payment Runs to Suppliers.
*Management of the Expenses claimed for by remote staff
*Learn aspects of other peoples’ roles within the department to ensure that when they are off due to holidays or illness that cover is there.
*Any other ad hoc duties that fall under the remit of the role / department.

*Proven track record in a similar role
*Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks effectively
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
