Accounts (& Audit) Manager
Location: Near Brierley Hill
Salary: £48-52k
Role Overview:
As an Accounts (& Audit ) Manager, you will play a key role in the management and delivery of services to a varied portfolio of clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounts to take the next step in their career and be part of a collaborative and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
*Leading and managing accounts (& Audit) assignments from planning to completion for a portfolio of clients.
*Overseeing and reviewing the work of junior staff, providing guidance and support.
*Managing relationships with clients and maintaining regular communication to ensure the timely delivery of services.
*Preparing financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP or IFRS, and other applicable standards.
*Reviewing the work of junior staff and assisting in their development.
*Assisting with the preparation of tax computations and assisting with other areas of tax compliance.
*Ensuring that deadlines are met and that work is carried out efficiently and to a high standard.
*Maintaining and managing client records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Skills and Experience:
*ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong understanding of accounting procedures.
*Experience accounts preparation within an accountancy practice - Audit Desirable but not essential
*Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
*Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
*Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and taxation.
*Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
*Ability to manage a team and mentor junior staff.
