Job Description:
Personal Injury Barrister (Defendant), 2+ Years PQE, Birmingham, £55,000+ (DOE) – A new opportunity for an experienced Barrister to join a leading law firm. JOB REF:9160.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Providing expert legal advice and representation in personal injury cases for defendants
• Conducting case analysis, preparing legal documents, and drafting statements
• Negotiating settlements and providing strategic advice to clients and solicitors
• Maintaining a high standard of legal research and knowledge of relevant case law
• Working closely with colleagues and clients to ensure effective case management
SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Qualified Barrister with a current practicing certificate
• Proven experience in defending personal injury claims
• Strong knowledge of personal injury law, including statutory law, case law, and procedural rules
• Exceptional advocacy and communication skills
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Prior experience in negotiating settlements is desirable
