The firm has a well-earned reputation as an Advisor to Entrepreneurs and Owner-Managed SMEs, and provides its clients with expert Accountancy & Business Advisory, Tax and Outsourced Financial Management solutions using a variety of cloud and digital accounting systems to offer clients full visibility and understanding of their financial performance.
Senior Accountant Main Duties?
*Preparation and reviewing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLP’s and Limited companies
*Liaising with clients and being their point of contact
*Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns and dealing with HMRC
*Assisting with audit assignments ( Desirable but not essential)
*Support trainees by providing on-the-job training and coaching
*Identify opportunities to deliver additional services to the clients and highlight these to the directors
*Assist with adhoc projects and assignments
Skills required:
*Excellent knowledge accounting standards, corporation tax, VAT, income tax and the impact on the clients’ overall affairs
*Good analytical skills and a proactive approach
*Ability to work to deadlines and manage yours (and colleagues) workflow
*Ability to see an accounts file through to director review
*A skills set allowing you to deal with client queries, communicate effectively and provide exceptional client service
*IT literate - familiarity with Sage, Xero and Iris is preferable
*Being a strong team player is essential
*Audit experience preferred but not essential
*Minimum of 3 years practice experience
*ACCA/ACA Qualified
