We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join our client in a fast-paced production environment.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong Electrical and Mechanical expertise to support both preventative and reactive maintenance of production equipment.
Working hours: Nightshift 6pm-6am 3 on 4 off.
Key Responsibilities:
*Carry out preventative maintenance in line with the planned maintenance schedule
*Respond promptly to breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
*Perform advanced troubleshooting on complex electronic and mechanical systems
*Communicate effectively with external suppliers and service providers
*Source and control spare parts inventory, ensuring critical components are available when needed
*Prioritise and manage workload efficiently to minimise equipment downtime
*Support general maintenance tasks across the site as needed
Skills and Experience Required:
*Minimum of 2 years’ experience in equipment maintenance within a high-speed or manufacturing environment
*Strong background in electronics with at least 3 years’ experience in both mechanical and electrical systems
*18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations certification (desirable)
*Proficient in diagnosing faults in mechanical and electrical systems
*Familiarity with stock control systems and spare parts management
*Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
*Strong communication and organisational skills
*Ability to work independently and bring tasks to successful completion
