Salary: £35,000 Bonus

NJR Recruitment is delighted to be representing a respected financial services firm that is looking for a Desk-Based Financial Adviser to join its growing team. This role is ideal for a qualified adviser who enjoys delivering advice remotely and wants to work within a structured, client-first environment.

The Role
As a Desk-Based Financial Adviser, you’ll deliver streamlined, cost-effective advice and annual reviews remotely, without face-to-face client interaction. All communication will be carried out electronically via email, phone, and secure platforms. You’ll handle a variety of review and transactional activity while referring more complex cases to field-based advisers.

Key Responsibilities
" Conduct annual reviews in line with service agreements
" Assess suitability of clients’ existing arrangements and make necessary adjustments
" Advise on straightforward transactions such as top-ups, withdrawals, fund switches, and ISAs
" Escalate complex advice needs to senior or field-based advisers
" Gather and analyse client information to support advice recommendations
" Collaborate with paraplanners to provide accurate data and documentation
" Maintain accurate, compliant records for all advice provided


What We’re Looking For
" Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent) - essential
" Strong written and verbal communication skills
" High attention to detail and ability to work independently
" A commitment to professionalism, ethics, and client-first advice
" Fit & Proper status under FCA rules, including CPD and SPS maintenance
Desirable:
" Experience in remote/desk-based financial advice
" Familiarity with CRM and financial planning software
" Understanding of paraplanning processes
