Zest Optical are working alongside a growing independent Opticians in Leicester to recruit a Part-Time Optical Assistant. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, community-focused team across two practices just four miles apart, both committed to providing personalised, high-quality eye care.
Optical Assistant - Role Overview
*Working across two well-established practices in Leicester
*Part-time: 2-3 days per week
*Hours: 9am-5.30pm
*Only 1 in 4 Saturdays required
*Welcoming patients and providing a first-class customer experience
*Supporting the Optometrists and wider team in day-to-day practice operations
*Advising patients on suitable frames and lenses
*Handling contact lens enquiries and orders
*Assisting with remote edging and working with a range of Essilor lenses
*Helping with the styling and presentation of a varied eyewear collection, including designer and high-street brands
*Salary of £27,000-£28,000 pro rata, depending on experience
Optical Assistant - Requirements
*Previous experience as an Optical Assistant is essential
*Confident in dispensing and comfortable working independently when needed
*Strong communication and customer service skills
*Passion for community-focused care and building long-term patient relationships
*Professional, approachable, and eager to be part of a close-knit team
