Key Responsibilities in this Financial Reporting Accountant role -
*Stay up to date with regulatory changes and ensure compliance with emerging reporting requirements.
*Assess and enhance internal processes and controls supporting regulatory returns.
*Collaborate with tax teams and local finance managers to meet group and local reporting needs.
*Support finance automation projects and respond to ad-hoc reporting requests.
*Prepare and review statutory accounts under IFRS for group and subsidiary entities.
*Assist with VAT returns in the UK and selected overseas offices.
*Liaise with auditors and local finance teams during audits.
*Contribute to group cost allocation and transfer pricing processes.
*Provide technical accounting support and help define best practices for financial systems.
Person Specification
Essential:
*ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
*Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
*Experience in preparing statutory financial statements.
*Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret trends and meet deadlines.
Desired:
*Experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
*Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
*Familiarity with UK tax filing requirements, especially VAT and corporation tax.
