Our client, Wigan council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Duty & Assessment Team

Responsibilities of this role:
*Respond to new referrals and safeguarding concerns.
*Complete initial assessments to identify risk and need.
*Make decisions on appropriate next steps, including Early Help, Child in Need, or Child Protection pathways.
*Work collaboratively with families, schools, health professionals, and other agencies.
*Maintain accurate and timely case records.
*Apply relevant legislation and statutory guidance to all decisions.
*Manage a fast-paced caseload with strict timescales.
*Participate in strategy discussions and multi-agency planning meetings.
Requirements of this role:
*Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
*Must have minimum of 3 year’s experience working as a Qualified social worker
