Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home | Eastergate
Location: Eastergate, West Sussex
Position: Deputy Manager
Setting: 4-Bed Children’s Residential Home
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends & on-call duties (rota-based)

We are seeking a committed and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our established team at our warm and nurturing 4-bed children’s home in Eastergate. You’ll support the Registered Manager in leading the day-to-day operations of the home and ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and support are consistently delivered.
Your Key Responsibilities:*Assisting the Registered Manager with leadership, oversight, and compliance
*Supervising, mentoring and developing the staff team
*Leading shifts and ensuring consistent, child-centred care
*Contributing to care planning, risk assessments, and reviews
*Promoting a safe, structured, and supportive environment
*Liaising with external agencies, families, and professionals
*Helping ensure the home meets all regulatory and legislative requirements (including Ofsted standards)
What We’re Looking For:*Minimum 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting
*Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare – essential
*Working towards or willing to work towards Level 5 in Leadership & Management (Children’s Residential)
*Proven experience leading shifts or supervising staff
*Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
*A caring, resilient and confident leader
*Full UK driving licence
