Job Description:
We’re seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support the growth of the Capital Markets practice of a global leading law firm. With a particular focus on Derivatives & Structured Products, you will strategically support the partners and fee-earners, working alongside a global BD & Marketing team. Fundamentally, you will play a key role in shaping strategy, identifying opportunities, and driving client-centric initiatives.
*Develop and implement business development strategies to position the firm as a market leader in Derivatives & Structured Products.
*Align client targeting and growth strategies with global priorities.
*Build and strengthen relationships with clients, internal stakeholders and international teams, driving cross-selling across practices and regions.
*Leverage data insights for horizon scanning, opportunity spotting and pipeline management.
*Lead high-impact pitches, panel submissions and market-leading initiatives to secure new work.
*Monitor external trends and gather market intelligence to inform business development activity.
*Maximise technology and data tools to deliver proactive, targeted insights.
*Collaborate with global product teams to build and maintain a strong international network.
What We’re Looking For
*Proven business development experience within professional services — ideally in Capital Markets with exposure to Derivatives and Structured Products.
*Deep understanding of derivatives markets, structured finance products, regulatory frameworks and market dynamics.
*A track record of developing and executing strategies that deliver measurable growth.
*Experience working across global teams and leveraging international resources.
*Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
*Confident relationship-builder with a talent for spotting cross-selling opportunities and leading pitches.
*Degree in marketing, business or a related field (advanced qualifications preferred).
