Afternoon/Evening Cleaning Supervisor
Location: Hillingdon, Greater London
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (All Year Round)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience


About the Role:
Jade Recruitment Agency is currently seeking an experienced Afternoon/Evening Cleaning Supervisor for a prestigious educational site in the Hillingdon area.
This is a hands-on supervisory role, ideal for someone with a strong background in cleaning and team management. You will be responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility and leading a team of cleaners to meet daily service requirements in line with performance targets.


Key Responsibilities of the Cleaning Supervisor
*Prepare daily and weekly cleaning schedules and allocate duties fairly across the team
*Supervise the cleaning team, ensuring quality and performance meet required standards
*Provide hands-on support with cleaning duties and lead by example
*Liaise with the Facilities Manager regarding daily operations and any site-specific issues
*Review daily and weekly event planners to ensure cleaning coverage and avoid scheduling conflicts
*Conduct monthly 1-1s, manage performance appraisals, and address absence and holiday cover
*Maintain stock levels and ensure safe handling and storage of cleaning materials
*Keep accurate and up-to-date COSHH logs
*Ensure equipment is maintained and report faults promptly
*Conduct inductions and training for staff and contractors, including safeguarding awareness
*Adhere to company values and code of conduct
*Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the Cleaning Manager


Requirements:
*Previous experience supervising a cleaning team
*Strong understanding of cleaning standards and procedures
*Experience working within an education or similar environment preferred
*Good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, including COSHH and manual handling
*Ability to manage rotas, staff performance, and cleaning schedules effectively
*Confident using internal systems for logging absences and managing staff data (training provided)
