Are you a Mechanical Project Engineer seeking autonomy, variety, and exposure to high-value capital projects?
Join a growing consultancy delivering packaging and production line projects ranging from £250K to £40M. This hybrid Mechanical Project Engineer role role offers a dynamic mix of mechanical design, supplier management, and full project delivery - from feasibility through to commissioning.
What You’ll Be Doing as Mechanical ProejctProejct Engineer *Designing mechanical and process systems for packaging and production lines
*Managing suppliers, tender analysis, and cost control
*Overseeing site installation, commissioning, and performance trials
*Ensuring compliance with CDMCDM, PUWERPUWER, and Machinery Directive legislation
Machinery Experience We Value We’re especially keen to hear from candidates with mechanical design and project engineering experience in:
*Mechanical Process Systems for Manufacturing, Production, Process or Logistics Systems
*PalletizersPalletizers, Case Packers & Conveyors Systems
*Bespoke / special purpose machinery
*Capital equipment and automation systems
What We’re Looking For *Background in mechanical engineering (Degree, HNCHNC, or HNDHND)
*Experience in project engineering, design engineering, or CapExCapEx delivery
*Proficient in both 2D2D and 3D3D CAD design and modelling
*Valid UK driving licence
*Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
Industries We Welcome Candidates from automotive, pharmaceutical, FMCGFMCG, logistics, supply chain, food & drink, or machinery manufacturing sectors are encouraged to apply. Experience with production lines, packaging systems, or bespoke machinery is highly relevant.
