VACANCY - Year 6 Teacher - Jewish Primary School


ECM Recruitment is recruiting for a growing independent Jewish Primary school in North London. This school requires a Part time Year 6 Teacher.


This is a small boy’s school currently up to Year 7, with the hope to grow year on year and become an all through school.


The boys study Jewish studies in the morning, and secular studies for 2.5 hours in the afternoon. The joining teacher will be required Monday to Thursday 1 - 5pm with the option to teach until 6pm if they can also teach Year 7 for the final hour of the day.


There are 18 boys in Year 6 and 12 boys in year 7, the whole school with a total of approximately 120 boys on roll. There is also an Early Years facility on another site.


The school is a "Good" Ofsted school by OFSTED 2 years ago and is ambitious to grow, develop and become state aided.


Behaviour across the school is good and children want to learn and study the securlar subjects as much as religious. This is a very happy and supportive school to be in.


The school is offering approximately £32 - £37, 000 salary for 16-20 hours per week for a candidate with QTS. A generous salary considering the part time hours. These hours allow time for planning and preparing around the teaching hours. The school is open to a candidate with no QTS, particularly if they have previous teaching experience or passion to train as a teacher. Training, development, CPD is all available. Teachers also have access to schemes of work, eg White rose for Maths. There is room for growth and taking on additional responsibilities as the head looks to expand the Senior Leadership Team. The Year 6 boys had good results this year and the school hopes to continue this by finding a teacher with good command for SATS.
