An opportunity to join our client, a leading Health & Beauty retailer, has arisen due to continued growth & successes.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Resource Planner based at their Distribution Centre in Dunstable.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a highly organised and analytical HGV Resource Planner to join our Transport team Dunstable Distribution Centre. This role is key to ensuring our HGV fleet and driver resources are planned efficiently to meet operational demands, while maintaining compliance and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
·Plan and allocate HGV driver resources across shifts to meet delivery schedule
·Collaborate with warehouse and transport teams to ensure smooth handovers and dispatch.
·Maintain accurate records of driver hours, rest periods, and legal compliance.
·Analyse performance data to identify trends and improve planning efficiency.
·Support the Transport Manager with forecasting, reporting, and strategic planning.
What We’re Looking For:
·Experience in transport planning or logistics coordination (HGV operations preferred).
·Strong understanding of driver hours regulations and transport compliance.
·Proficiency in transport planning software and Microsoft Excel.
·Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
·Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
·A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
