SEMH Teaching Assistant – £14.60 per hour
Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
We’re working with a specialist SEMH school in Plymouth that is looking for a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. This role is guaranteed for an initial 2 weeks, with a strong likelihood of ongoing work beyond that.
As part of our bank of temporary staff, you’ll also have the opportunity to work in other local schools if you’re open to additional placements. Rates vary depending on the role and setting.
The Role:
*Supporting students with SEMH needs in a specialist school environment
*Working closely with teaching staff to manage behaviour and promote engagement
*Helping to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Key Details:
*Duration: Guaranteed 2 weeks, with potential for ongoing temporary work
*Pay: £14.60 per hour
*Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
*DBS: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service required (or willingness to obtain one)
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
*A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
*Strong behaviour management skills
*A genuine passion for inclusive education
