JOB: Warehouse Assistant
LOCATION: Colchester
SALARY: £23,300 per annum for 35-hour week (plus paid overtime)
Reed Recruitment in Colchester are looking for a Warehouse Assistant to work for a client based in Colchester on a full time, permanent basis.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5pm with an early finish on Friday working 8:30am to 1:30pm. The company operate a Christmas shutdown, and this is on full pay with no holiday used. This year it will be from 23rd of December returning on the 2nd of January.
Main duties include:
*Ensuring that all goods that are picked and booked in match the relevant paperwork
*Receiving, checking, recording, and storing stock as it is received.
*Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy
*Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods
*Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules and schedule
*VMI (Vendor-managed inventory), which involves using a hand-held scanner. Full training will be given.
*Forklift licence an advantage, but training can be given.
*Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck.

*Warehouse / stores experience is a must
*Forklift licence an advantage but not necessary as we are willing to train
