The Opportunity
A forward-thinking and growing accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Client Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual with solid practice experience who’s ready to take the next step in managing a diverse portfolio of clients.
You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality client service, supporting a range of SMEs, sole traders, and limited companies, while helping to develop and mentor junior members of the team.
Key Responsibilities * Managing a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met
* Reviewing year-end accounts, VAT returns, and management accounts prepared by junior staff
* Overseeing corporation tax and personal tax compliance for clients
* Acting as the main point of contact for clients, offering proactive business and financial advice
* Supporting and mentoring junior members of the accounts team
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships
* Supporting business development and contributing to the firm’s continued growth
About You * ACA / ACCA Qualified (or QBE with strong practice background)
* Proven experience working in an accountancy practice, ideally in a supervisory or client management role
* Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
* Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, VAT, and tax
* Able to manage workloads, meet deadlines, and lead a small team effectively
* Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or IRIS
