Job Title: Examinations Officer
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Examinations Officer to manage all aspects of the examination process within our school/college. This pivotal role ensures the smooth running of internal and external exams, maintaining compliance with awarding body regulations and supporting students to achieve their best.
Key Responsibilities for an Examinations Officer:
*Coordinate and manage all exam entries, timetables, and seating plans
*Liaise with awarding bodies to ensure accurate and timely submissions
*Recruit, train, and manage invigilators
*Oversee secure storage and distribution of exam papers
*Support students with access arrangements in collaboration with SENCO
*Handle post-results services including enquiries and appeals
*Maintain accurate records and produce reports as required
Person Specification of an Examinations Officer:
*Experience in exam administration or a similar role (school/college setting preferred)
*Strong organisational and time-management skills
*Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
*Confident communicator with staff, students, and external bodies
*Familiarity with JCQ regulations and exam software (e.g. SIMS, Arbor) desirable
*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
