Job Description:
Location: Birmingham and Surrounding Areas
Position: 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant
Type of Work: One-to-one support for a child with SEND within a mainstream primary classroom
Contract/Position Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Full Time/Part Time
Minimum Rate of Pay: Negotiable
Hours: 8:30 am 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
The Role:
*Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with specific SEND needs (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech & language difficulties
*Adapt learning materials and approaches to suit the childs individual needs
*Support the pupils academic, social, and emotional development
*Maintain accurate records of progress and share feedback with the wider team
*Contribute to a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
*Have previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting (essential)
*Have experience in a 1:1 role or similar (preferred)
Requirements to Work with Prospero Teaching:
*Hold Right to Work in the UK
*Hold a valid, enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
*Provide two child-related professional references covering the last two years
