Job Description:
Job Title: Functional Skills Maths & English Tutor
Location: Southwark
Contract Type: Temporary, Flexible, Part-Time
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Key Responsibilities: *Deliver one-to-one or small group tuition in Functional Skills Maths and English.
*Adapt teaching methods to support students with SEN needs, ensuring lessons are accessible and engaging.
*Develop and implement personalised lesson plans that address individual learning gaps.
*Monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to students and their families.
*Create a supportive and motivating learning environment to help students build confidence in Maths and English.
Requirements: *Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in Functional Skills Maths and English.
*Experience working with SEN students.
*Right to work in the UK.
*Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.
Desired Qualifications & Experience: *PGCE and/or QTS is highly desirable.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual learner needs.
