Junior Accounts Assistant
Location: Oakenshaw (Office-Based)
Salary: £18,000 – £22,000 (dependent on experience)
Study Support: AAT provided
Are you looking to kick-start your career in finance and accounting? We’re on the lookout for a motivated Junior Accounts Assistant to join our friendly office in Oakenshaw. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, develop their skills, and work towards a professional accounting qualification with full AAT study support + 1 day per week at college.
What you’ll be doing: * Assisting with day-to-day finance operations, including purchase ledger and sales ledger processing

* Supporting with bank reconciliations and data entry

* Assisting in preparing management accounts and reports

* Handling queries from suppliers and customers

* General finance administration and ad hoc tasks to support the wider accounts team

What we’re looking for: * A keen interest in developing a career in finance and accounting

* Previous experience in fast paced finance team (desirable)

* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel

* Excellent communication and organisational skills

* Previous experience in an accounts or office environment is beneficial but not essential
