Location: Near Blackburn (Office based, full-time)


An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well-established insurance brokerage near Blackburn as a Senior Account Handler. Working within a close-knit Commercial team, you’ll play a key role in managing new business and renewals while providing dedicated support to an Account Executive. This position offers exposure to a wide range of commercial classes, including Property, Liability, Package, Contractors All Risks, Motor Trade, and Fleet, all within a friendly and supportive office environment.


Responsibilities
As Senior Account Handler, you’ll take ownership of key broking and servicing tasks while ensuring clients receive a first-class service experience.
*Preparing new business presentations for distribution to the insurer panel and obtaining competitive terms.
*Advising clients on quotations, cover options, and the most suitable solutions for their needs.
*Issuing invoices, documentation, and maintaining accurate client and policy records.
*Managing diary tasks to ensure timely communication and follow-ups with insurers and clients.
*Staying up to date with market developments and maintaining strong technical knowledge across commercial products.
*Highlighting policy terms, endorsements, and conditions clearly to clients.
*Supporting an Account Executive in managing their portfolio and administrative workload.


Requirements
You’ll bring strong commercial broking experience and excellent technical knowledge, along with a proactive and client-focused mindset.
*Experience working within a commercial insurance broking environment.
*Solid understanding of cross-class commercial insurance.
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Confident communicator, both written and verbal.
*Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
*Positive, professional, and motivated approach to client service.
