Job Description:
Family Assessment Registered Manager Hendon London NW4
We are looking for ambitious an experienced children’s social worker to lead our Family assessment centre in London NW as Registered Manager. We would also consider Children’s home Manager.
You will manage multi-disciplinary team and work in partnership with parents and family members to assess the needs of their children and to provide support and intervention whilst assessing parents’ ability to meet those needs. Children can stay at the 5 bed centre for up to 3 months during their assessment.
The Assessments provided by the centre
*Parenting assessments (residential and/or community based)
*Court assessments
*Viability assessments
*Reunification with birth family
*Pre-birth and new parent assessments
*Psychological assessment
You should be passionate about protecting children, giving parents the needed support and putting children and families at the heart of decision-making. This work can be challenging and demanding, hence why we provide a safe, supportive and positive working environment.
Family Assessment Registered Manager Salary
£48 £52k plus bonus
Family Assessment Registered Manager Successful Applicant will have
• Experience of handling complex children and families court cases and/or experience of child protection investigations
• a breadth of experience, including managing, monitoring and chairing children’s plans; coordinating multi-agencies, writing excellent, accurate and concise reports and engaging with and building relationships with children and families
• An understanding of the impact of abuse, social deprivation and disadvantage on children, young people and their families
• Knowledge of children’s social care theory, legislation and practice in relation to working in a statutory children’s setting
• knowledge and understanding of the application of safeguarding principles and a good understanding of the nature of the work and the difficult and complex decisions required to promote a child’s welfare
• The ability to produce concise and accurate written work including reports and case records to deadline
• The ability to analyse information and make appropriate decisions and judgments for the welfare of children and their families.
• The ability to make the best use of the knowledge, support and expertise of managers, colleagues and other professionals
• Resilience with the ability to manage the emotional impact of the work, actively making use of appropriate support
• the ability to integrate and apply social work knowledge, values and skills to practice situations in a purposeful, intentional, ethical and professional manner to promote well-being
• The ability to act with integrity and impartiality, promoting a working environment that supports our values
• A satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
• be able to safely transport children and families as and when this is needed.
• Flexibility in working arrangements/hours to meet operational requirements including responding to emergencies.
• A supportive and inclusive team where you will be empowered to make good professional decisions supported by regular supervision
• A wide variety of learning & development, coaching & mentoring.

• A Social Work qualification & HCPC registration or level 5 Leadership and Management
